CBA Lab is growing - 5 new members in 2021
EAM is more topical than ever, as can be seen from the growing number of CBA Lab members. Five companies joined the user association in 2021. The CBA Lab is pleased to welcome new members from the consumer goods, machinery and engine manufacturing, logistics and technical testing organizations sectors.
In line with the digital transformation programme, the IT organization of the consumer goods manufacturer is undergoing a fundamental change process. In this context, enterprise architecture plays an exciting and challenging role in coordinating the optimal balance between strategic growth and necessary basic work.
For the machine manufacturer, the importance of software and, as a result, that of architecture has risen sharply. Through the CBA Lab, the company hopes to gain insights into the best practices of other companies that have already successfully implemented their architectures and the associated organizations and processes.
The engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines recently relaunched its EAM initiative and wants to make rapid progress. Enterprise architect Hannes Schleibinger is looking forward to the exchange within the CBA Lab network. He wants to learn from the experiences of other members and work together on current problems in a practical way.
EAM is still a young discipline at the testing service provider TÜV Rheinland. "Through our membership of the CBA Lab, we want to learn best practices from the experienced members and exchange experiences. On the other hand, we also want to play an active role in developing new content together. Our current focus is initially on the introduction of a structured EAM at TÜV Rheinland,” explains IT Enterprise Architect Matthias Thiebes.
Logistics company Dachser, the newest member of the CBA Lab, is also looking forward to the exchange within the user association. To get started, the enterprise architects were given access to the Coyo work platform, which is also the CBA Lab's treasure trove - full to the brim with valuable work results, best practices and findings from joint work across industry, company and hierarchical boundaries. All in the spirit of cross-business architecture.
